The Dancing Spree

pexels-photo-189349[1]

She’s on her way

on this fine day;

whilst the sea

advances –

expecting dalliances.

Her final drive;

she’ll soon arrive.

Pick a spot,

set her free –

on her dancing spree.

A sudden gust;

scattered stardust.

Off she flies

forever –

unknown endeavour.

My mother-in-law’s ashes were scattered on the beach today, close to where we live. Her last trip to our coast.

  1. Oh this is a gorgeous poem and the context only makes it that much more meaningful. Thank you for sharing and God bless you and your family.
